Louis Siagel | Before Siagel Productions

It started with a violin. Lou Siagel was a talented and respected local violinist whose love of music became the foundation for generations of entertainers. He spent decades bringing music to weddings, bar mitzvah celebrations, and community events throughout Greater Boston — passing along not only his musical talent but a belief that would outlast him: Live entertainment has the power to create lifelong memories. That belief became the DNA of everything Siagel Productions would one day become.

Steve Siagel Begins Entertaining

At sixteen, following in his father’s footsteps, Steve began his career as a DJ and entertainer for bar mitzvahs — starting with one sound system and no employees. In 1984, Steve’s brother-in-law, Marc Gundersheim, joined the business, and together they grew it to 8 sound systems and 30 employees, even traveling internationally to Berlin and Lake Geneva, Switzerland to entertain for bar mitzvahs abroad. Over his career, Steve has entertained for the New England Patriots, President Bill Clinton, and thousands of social and corporate events.

Steve + Cindy expand the business

Steve was joined by his wife, Cindy, whose talent for creative design and hospitality helped transform the business from a DJ company into a broader, full-service event planning and entertainment company.

Growing Across New England

Over the decades, Siagel Productions grew from a small group of DJs into a full-service event planning, entertainment, and production company, producing hundreds of events each year throughout New England.

Siagel Productions was led by Michael Siagel.

Representing the third generation of family leadership. Michael continued to evolve the company while honoring the values that built it—investing heavily in exceptional people, innovative entertainment experiences, event technology, and thoughtful planning.
The Siagel family legacy extends beyond events. Michael proudly worked alongside his sister, Emily Jabbawy, whose leadership of the family's early childhood dance program continued another branch of the family's lifelong commitment to inspiring confidence, creativity, and performance in young people. Together, the family remains deeply rooted in the performing arts and in serving the local community.

Today, Siagel Productions continues to evolve under the leadership of Michael Siagel

With Adam Parrott joining Michael as a partner to help lead the company into its next chapter. Together, they are solidifying Siagel’s place not only as Boston’s leading entertainment and talent company, but as a premier event production and A/V company capable of bringing extraordinary events to life from start to finish.

With a strong leadership team and nearly 50 years of history behind him, Michael is ushering in what he calls the era of Joyspansion—expanding the company’s reach, capabilities, and impact while staying true to the simple idea at the heart of Siagel Productions: creating joy for the people we serve and the people we work alongside.

That family legacy continues at The Dance Academy, founded in 1998, where Erica Sperberg provides the vision, leadership, and dedication that has kept the school thriving for over 25 years. Under Erica’s leadership, TDA remains a place where children and teens can develop not only as dancers and performers, but as confident, creative people.

As Siagel Productions and The Dance Academy continue to grow, the next chapter is about more than expansion. It is about building on generations of experience, investing in exceptional people, and finding new ways to bring joy, creativity, and connection to the community.
